Audience members enjoyed the freshly popped popcorn and chilled water that were given to them before the play began. They could get more popcorn during the 15-minute intermission between the two halves of the play. After the play, director Marjorie Sokoloff conducted a talk back session with the cast.

“The preparation took months,” Sokoloff said. “They practiced for three hours a day for about five weeks.”

When one of the children in the audience asked, “Why was Charlotte’s Web on the screen?” Sokoloff answered, “The projection screen was the easiest way to give a visual of the web. The grant from Camden County Cultural Alliance was the reason for us being able to have the projection screen.”

Also during the talk back session, Trent Rozicki, who portrayed a rat, a boy and a father in the show, said, “The character change was the most challenging to me. I had to play three different characters and I had about five seconds each.”

Despite the challenges, Sokoloff said she was “pleased with the outcome.”

There will be three more opportunities to see “Charlotte’s Web.” The play will be staged at 7 p.m. Dec. 10, 11 and 12 in the Little Theater in Lincoln Hall.
