Completing school during the week and working on the weekends, students these days have a lot on their “plates”. Shown in this photo essay is two co-workers and Cherokee High School students starting and completing a day’s work.
First is Christine Parker, a senior at Cherokee High School in Marlton, NJ. Ms. Parker has two jobs: working at a daycare during the week and working at a shoe store, DSW, during the weekends. Once finish with school this year, she plans on joining the Armed Forces. Also a student at Cherokee High School, Alli Smith is a junior with the hopes of attending college. She continues school during the week and DSW on the weekends to pay for expenses and save for college. Both girls are the faces of a generation where the entering workforce age is decreasing due to the economy.
