She teaches health and wellness, stress management and health and personal living at CCC. She describes her teaching as using the Socraticmethod, which allows students to learn according to their style of learning.

With her useful visuals and activities in their course work, students are intrigued to learn more from this professor and some even make life-altering decisions during or after her class. As a professor and advocate for healthy living, Fralinger encourages her students to go beyond just passing the class to applying what was taught in their lives.

“I always try to first of all practice what it is I tell them to do because that’s really important.  Secondly, I try to stay as up to date as possible on new things that are occurring in health and I always encourage them to a lot of healthy, fit lifestyles with exercise, nutrition and teach a lot of those concepts in class,” Fralinger says. “Outside of class, I always maintain contact with my students and I help them out in any way possible. They come to me and ask me questions about exercise, fitness or nutrition. Anything they need I just try to help.  Now I have a lot of former students doing my Beachbody challenges.”

As a coach for Beachbody, Fralinger not only promotes a healthy lifestyle but she assists her members during their journey. She helps them with their meal plans and workout programs. She lives what she teaches.

“I hope that they learn how to just be a productive member of society overall, to make good decisions, healthy decisions, decisions that are going to propel them forward in life rather than keep them where they are. I hope that they learn to take chances, not to stay complacent in life and to just go for it in general,” Fralinger says. “In life, anything that they want to do … go for it.”

Second-year student Alexis Massey says her class with Fralinger “was an amazing learning experience. She made the class very fun and interactive, but I still learned so much. She’s very knowledgeable and truly cares for her students’ health and grades.”
